Veterans, Trauma & Treatment
October 18 - 20, 2013
Rhinebeck, New York, United States
Join David and other experts in complementary and alternative mind-body treatments of veterans’ trauma.
The number of veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is in the hundreds of thousands, including an estimated one of every three who have returned from deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq. PTSD finds tragic expression in suicide, homelessness, abusive behavior, addiction, and other issues at great cost to individuals, families, and society. This growing crisis calls for creative and alternative approaches in the search for successful treatment.
Veterans, Trauma & Treatment is an unprecedented gathering of specialists in resiliency, trauma, and the treatment of trauma for veterans using complementary and alternative medicine. Health-care professionals, psychologists, social workers, caregivers, and counselors working with veterans suffering with PTSD and their families are welcome.
David will be conducting a concurrent workshop entitled: "Rapid Treatment of PTSD: Combining Imaginal Exposure With the Stimulation of Acupuncture Points".
Other presenters include Peter Levine, Ph.D., Dawson Church, Ph.D., Maj. Nisha Money, MD, Roger Jahnke, Ph.D., and other luminaries.
Members of the Energy Medicine Community who are using Energy Medicine or Energy Psychology with veterans are encouraged to apply. Send an email to Dondi Dahlin with the following:
