Author of 7 books and over 50 professional papers, he has taught at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Antioch College. His multi-media Energy Psychology Interactive self-study training program was a recipient of the Outstanding Contribution Award from the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, and the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology.

The article introduces both the basic concepts and the standard energy psychology procedure, and provides 4 case examples illustrating the most important common elements used in energy interventions for psychological treatment. Course Description:

The Promise of Energy Psychology introduces the basic concepts and practices of this important new clinical development. By working with the body’s energies, it is possible to rapidly and non-invasively shift neurology, to literally change the patterns in the brain that maintain unwanted habits, maladaptive emotions, and self-limiting ways of thinking. Promise addresses a wide range of topics, from the treatment of emotional problems (anxiety, irrational fear, trauma reactions, depression, and addictions are all addressed) to cultivating potentials and peak performance to increasing "emotional intelligence." Course Description:

Energy Psychology Interactive is designed to bring psychotherapists and other health care professionals who work with psychological issues the basic concepts and skills needed to begin to introduce energy psychology interventions into their practices. It was developed in collaboration with a 24-member Advisory Board that includes many of the recognized leaders and innovators within the field.

This course, based on the Energy Psychology Interactive CD-Rom and Energy Psychology Interactive Companion Book, introduces basic concepts and procedures, including an overview of the field, research findings, possible neurological mechanisms, the use of energy interventions in psychological treatment, assessing the body’s energy systems, working with neurological disorganization and psychological reversals, assessing and correcting the energy imbalances that are associated with dysfunctional emotional reactions, and techniques for translating improvements from the office to the client’s back-home setting.

It was developed in collaboration with a 24-member Advisory Board that includes many of the recognized leaders and innovators within the field.

This course, based on the Energy Psychology Interactive CD-Rom and Energy Psychology Interactive Companion book addresses more topics such as basing the treatment on an assessment of specific meridian imbalances, working with core beliefs, introducing shortcuts and specific treatment protocols, formulating energy interventions using the chakras and the radiant circuits, surveying a range of energy approaches, integrating energy interventions with other forms of psychotherapy, reviewing the principles of energy medicine, trauma and other clinical applications, and surveying controversies and issues in the field.
